Devoria Whitaker, is a very impressive 11 year old.  "She is a highly motivated athlete with an incredible desire to achieve," states her coaches Lonnie Suazo and Jennifer Hastings.  Devoria began training with Team Xtreme in 2005. 

Devoria has had quite a run.  She began her 2006 season with the USAT Buffalo Qualifier where she competed in the World Class Division and earned herself a gold medal in poomse as well as sparring.  At the 2006 AAU National Championships she garnered a gold medal in sparring and continued on to the USAT Junior Olympics, where she finished with a silver medal in poomse and a silver medal in sparring.  Most recently, Devoria competed in the prestigious Presidents Cup in Stuttgart, Germany where she earned yet another gold medal in sparring.

Currently, Devoria is preparing for the 2007 USAT and AAU season.  Her next stop will be Kansas City, MO where she will compete in the World Class division to earn her spot at the USAT Junior and Senior National Championship being held in San Jose, California in July.
