Francis Saggal

Francis Saggal is a 10-year-old student at Team Straight Up.  He participates in sports karate because of the confidence and self-esteem he gets.  He also enjoys the challenge of competition.  Francis is a red belt and competes as a black belt for the motivation and self-perseverance.  He has won three grand overalls in 2003 at the Michael Burton’s RI Classic, at Lee Ireland’s Twin Tower Classic as well as at Mark Huard’s Battle of Maine.

He is ranked through Krane as #1 in 10-11 Black Belt weapons, forms and fighting for 2003.  He continues to excel in 2004 winning the overall grand at the Annual Plymouth Open.  Francis enjoys karate and continues to set a good example for his 8-year-old brother Daniel.   He also takes part in soccer, basketball, swimming, and gymnastics.  Even with all these activities he also excels in school achieving honor roll.
