Troy Reny

He won first place at the recent Pine Tree State Karate Championships which took place on Sept 11.

Troy Reny started training in the martial arts when he was about 7 years old. He trains at Huard's Ju-Jitsu & Karate School in Winslow, Maine. Troy is a very dedicated and extremely focused individual . He is a 2nd degree Brown Belt in Shotokan Karate and also Ju-Jitsu.

He is a member of Huard's Sport Karate Team and competes in tournaments all over the New England Region. Troy really enjoys the competitiveness and explodes with intensity during tournaments. He is also very friendly with fellow competitors and classmates and treats everyone with true respect. These are just some of the aspects he has learned through the martial arts.

Right now, Troy is rated # 1 in both forms and fighting in the boys advanced 10-12 division for the state of Maine. His great efforts have taken him to amazing levels with both training and competition.

What does the future hold for Troy? Well, he plans to start training more in weapons and is currently putting together a musical form for the next few events that he competes at. His goals are to work really hard for more tournament titles and get his 1st degree brown belt. The biggest goal is to train, train, train and someday get the Black Belt.

Troy also enjoys other activities such as football and motocross. He is currently team captain for his football team at the Winslow, Maine Junior High School and is a great football player as well.
