Kids Hall of Fame

April Mathewson

April is 8 years old and attends third grade. She’s been involved with martial arts for almost two years and is already nationally ranked as one of the top three in the country. 

She has also competed internationally Junior Olympics and Pan-American
Championships were she is unbeaten. Her standings can be verified at the U.S.A. National Karate Federation website http://www.usankf.org. 

She studies traditional Okinawa style Karate called Shito-Ryu (19 months) at the Japan Karate-Do Meikubai Dojo, under Sensei Steve Robinson, a 6-time National Karate Champion.
