Becca
Ross age 12 started learning
martial arts at 4 years of age. Originally studied Wing Chun Kung Fu
under the tutelage of Sensei Chai Eun at Chai Karate in Ardsley, N.Y. By
the time she was 5 years old she was breaking wood, sparring, and
competing in tournaments on a statewide level. She received three gold
medals at West Point Military Academy for point sparring, self-defense,
and continuous fighting. She went on to capture first place in every
N.Y. State tournament that she competed in between the ages of 6 and 7.
Becca
received her Black Belt in American Kenpo Karate in May of 2000. She is
currently training at All Star Karate in Boca Raton under the tutelage of
Mr. Michael Demchak. She also trains with World champions Adam Faldetta,
Daniel Sterling, and World Champion Lauren Kearney.
Since
moving to Florida a little more than 3 years ago Becca has been ranked
number 1 in the State of Florida for her division in point sparring. She
was the 2001 NASKA World Sparring Champion in her Black Belt division. She
is now the 2002 NASKA World
Weapons Champion, as well as the 2002 NASKA World Open Forms Champion.
She
has chalked up impressive first
place victories at the World Series of Martial Arts, The New England Open,
The Blue Grass Nationals The South American Championship, The Ocean State
Nationals, The Battle of Atlanta, The Diamond Nationals.
Most
recently was a triple Crown winner at the U.S. Open, where she competed on
stage for the ISKA World Weapons and Forms Championship which was filmed
by ESPN.

In
her Dojo, at All Star Karate, Becca is a member of the Leadership Team as
well as a member of SWAT (Special Winning Attitude Team). She has
performed at numerous school functions, as well as local fairs and charity
events. She has performed at the Paul Mitchell Fitness Festival as well as
The Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
She
is the leader of the School's Demo Team and does solo forms and weapons
performances. Becca is also a member of DS Performance Team and spends
several hours every week just practicing synchronized team forms.
Becca
was recently drafted onto TEAM USA as a result of her four first place
wins in the WKA World Championship Eliminations. She competed in Pisa
Italy in Aug. and captured 2 silver and 3 Bronze medals. Over 8000
athletes from 80 countries competed in this International competition. She
was the only athlete to win a medal in every division she competed in.
She
was given the honor of carrying the American Flag in the procession of the
March Of Nations, and commended for her success and inspiration to the
rest of the team. On Dec 7 Becca was inducted into the Florida Martial
Arts Hall Of Fame as “Youth Competitor of the Year”.
SCHOLASTIC
BACKGROUND
Becca
was an honor roll student at Del Prado Elementary school where
she consistently maintained a 4.0 average. She is now an honor
student at Logger's Run Middle School .She
loves to perform. She likes to entertain her friends and her
teachers by singing, dancing and acting out play roll skits.
She
has many friends, and is an outgoing, outspoken individual. She hopes to
compete in the Olympics.
