CORY LUTKUS

Cory Lutkus began training in the martial arts at the young age of 4.  He has been training for a total of six years.

His instructor is Master Garth Garland of the Charland Institute of Karate in CT.

Cory trains very hard daily in karate and is now a first degree Black Belt in Tang So Do.  He is on the special winning attitude team and the master belt club.

He is competing on the IPPONE Circuit this year under the instruction of Andy D'Amato.  He has successfully placed at every tournament so far this year for 2002.  You will see him at most of the IPPONE Tournaments in the New England Region.

His weapon of choice is the Bo staff. and he is currently working on a musical Bo staff form for future competitions.  He is also working with his little sister Danielle, age 6 who is now at the green belt level. He is hoping that she will compete with him in the near future.

His highlight for the year 2002 so far to date was the Worcester Classic. Cory at age 10 went on to become junior grand champion of the 17 and under black belt division.

When I asked Cory what his future martial arts goals were “He stated to be a world champion”. Cory is a very bright young martial artist, with quite a future ahead of him. IPPONE Profile

Hello, I am a fellow competitor

I think Cory Lutkus should be submitted into the Karate Angels Hall of Fame. He is a first degree black belt and competes in IPPONE tournaments. He competes in the 10-12 boys black belt divisions. He does kata, sparring, and weapons and succeeds in all. He is currently an IPPONE member and is 1st in 10-12 black belt kata, and 1st in boys 10-12 black belt sparring, he is in 2nd in 10-12 weapons by a few points. He supports everyone who steps into the ring and doesnt stop until its over. He cheers everyone on and is never a bad sport about winning or losing.

I am a fellow competitor that has seen him at many tournaments and has seen that he is an amazing martial artist and is going to be one of the greats. I would like to include, that Danielle Lutkus, his younger sister is also an up and coming star, and from what I've seen they get along great and are always supporting each other.
