Your fans want to know, are you competing right now? What's your schedule like?
Yes, my last tournament was the New England open in Boston - I placed first in 14-15 girls musical forms and 14-15 girls musical weapons. 

In the previous tournament at Rhode island (ocean state nationals) I won the youth girls forms grand championship and placed first in the 14-15 girls musical forms. 

The next tournament is in Kentucky - bluegrass nationals! wish me luck! I am going to compete in traditional forms, traditional weapons, open forms, musical forms, musical weapons, and team forms! woo! ha ha more than usual...it'll be fun! =) (at least it'll keep me out of trouble! ha ha)

When you're not training what do you like to do? What's your fav hobbies?
I love drawing, dancing, singing (in the shower! lol), hanging out with my friends, getting on the internet, getting to know new people, traveling and karate (of course!).

Gemma trains at Charlie Lee Karate in Virginia and first came into the spotlight in 1998 with her team form with her instructor David Moss. Since then she's come into her own in individual competition, staying ranked #1 in weapons and musical forms in 1999 and 2000, and currently first in both for 2001. Gemma has excellent basics and great kicking skills, along with some great tricks. She's an awesome individual competitor, but also great in team divisions, an under appreciated skill. Team Charlie Lee is pretty much the best in the country at team demos and team forms, and a big part of that reason is people like Gemma who can work and perform with others so well.
