My Hero would be my wolf named Taylor
(named after Taylor Lautner)
Once my friend and I where in the woods, and my friend had a lighter, she
decided to smoke, but she dropped her lighter and the grass caught on fire.
We were both screaming and running, the fire spread like a forest fire. I
ran and I stepped on a snakes tail, and the snake bit me. I couldn't move
and my friend ran away and left me behind.
I was so afraid that I couldn't
move, then a wolf and her cubs came running from behind some trees. The cubs
looked strong and they were almost as big as their mom. One of the cubs
stopped running when they saw me on the ground in pain. I was looking
straight into the cubs eyes. The cub seemed to understand that I was in
trouble, so it walked towards me. It nudged my side with it's nose and I
raised the top half of my body with my arms. The cub walked under me and I
laid down on it's back. The cub started to run after the other cubs while I
gently put my arms around it's neck.
When I got out of the woods, my parents
ran towards me, and stopped dead in their tracks when they saw that I was on
a wolf. The wolf carefully walked up to them and my dad helped me up, the
fire truck came with an ambulance. My dad said for me to go inside while
they kill the wolfs. But I said I'm not going anywhere. I wont let you hurt
them, they saved me and you want to kill them.
I slowly got up and limped
over to the cubs side and the other cubs and their mother came over to me. I
started to howl like my grandfather taught me to, and I slowly laid down in
the grass and the wolfs made a circle around me and we all went to sleep.
The next mourning I woke up and I was sweating really bad. I looked down and
noticed the wolfs were lying on my legs. I smiled and tried to sit up, but a
strong gabbing pain went up my back. Then one of the wolfs woke up and
helped me to sit up.
I was allowed to keep the cub that saved me, so I named him Taylor, after my
favorite person, hoping that he would one day he would meet me. This person
is TAYLOR LAUTNER. Now Taylor is all grown-up. His brothers and sisters
still come to my house and visit. When the mother passed away,
I buried her
with tender and loving care. All of the wolfs howled with sorrow, now I put
them to sleep by singing a little lullaby for them. I'm there mother now,
and they come to me whenever I'm hurt, they help me gain self-esteem and
they help me know that I can do many things. Whenever someone tries to beat
me up, they are there to back me up. I have helped them in return many times,
I even help them hunt and take care of them when they get sick.
They are
like my family, and when something happens to my parents, I can always turn
to them for love and care. I can go and live with them in the woods if I
have to. I will never go anywhere and leave them behind, unless it's for a
tournament or to make movies. Where I move they move no matter what
happens.

My Hero
I chose my dad as my Hero
because he's simply awesome. He is a tall blue eyed brunet. When he's doing
something he enjoys, his eyes shine and twinkle like new pennies. He used to
be skinny like toothpicks, but now he looks close to being overweight. On the
inside though, he's as hardworking as ants and very organized. Although
sometimes I think he needs anger management, most of the time he is as
cheerful as though he'd just received an Oscar. Whenever my friends come over,
he acts like he's cool and up-to-date. It's hilarious. At other times he goes
over the edge and makes stupid jokes that embarrass himself and me. In
addition to being funny, he is athletic. Being plump doesn't stop him from
skiing as well as an Olympic skier, playing soccer as well as in the World
Championship and playing basketball as well as a pro in the NBA. What makes
him unique is being adventurous and very, I mean very observative. When he was
a small boy or young man he got into a lot of mischief. He even told me
personally here and there about his crazy and odd adventures such as trying to
burn my aunts hair or flooding the basement. They were full of risks just like
he is. Loving and caring to his family, my dad is a more than a great person.
He is my Hero, and I love him.
My
Hero
Growing up, I thought a hero was some would who could fly or jump from tall
building to building. Some would with magical powers or who could make
themselves invisible. Then I realized a true hero is someone who risks
everything for someone. That is not afraid of failure or changes lives around.
Hero is a person who holds courage, bravery, and love not only in their hearts
but soul. I am glad god sent me my angel.
I had a lot of problems growing up. To basketball, with friends, being really
sick all the time, and to thinking the world always shutting me out. All my
troubles grew to major depression. I cried myself to sleep every night. How I
wish I would fall asleep and never wake up. Wish my life was totally
different. To the point where I didn't want to be alive much longer.
I had one really honest good friend. Who we spent all are time together. We
would see movies, or go out with the guys together. We would just laugh and
tell each other are secrets. Go to each others basketball games and talk all
night on the phone.
Then when my troubles got worse, Car, my friend, stepped in. She encouraged me
to get help. As if she took me under my wing. As if she up the courage into me
to go to my parents with how I felt about life. She was like sent to me, as an
angel from above. I put all my trust into her. I risked everything to tell
her. Afraid of getting shut down. Car never shut me down after that. She the
one I ran to when times got bad and even when good. I wanted to share
everything with her.
I was at the point of life, with out her, I wont be alive. She saved me. As if
the hero saved the girl from falling off the building or asteroid from hitting
the planet. She is my true hero. I owe her so much, that money or presents
could repay. She saved me from making the biggest mistake of my life, and that
would have been death. She stuck through it all. We cried together, and
laughed together. Car is the true meaning of a hero!

Whoever says school can not be fun probably has not met Mrs. Vahidi.
Mrs. Vahidi is a Language Arts teacher at Carusi Middle School. You are
probably thinking what is so important about a Language teacher? Well this
teacher is special. She takes time out of her personal life to help and
encourage students to do better. Our regular school day is from 8:30 till
3:00. Mrs. Vahidi is here from 7:00 till 5:00 almost every day. When you
attend one of her help sessions she always greets you with a smile and a
friendly hello.
She is also the kind
of teacher who you can really talk to. Mrs. Vahidi will always be in my heart
now and forever.

My hero is my father, Robert McCrory. He is very kind and helpful.
My father is my hero because he does very well in life, and when he has a
goal, he won't stop until he reaches it. He has to do something at night, but
he doesn't care. He always will tickle me, and make sure that I am happy and
healthy.
He is also my hero because when he was a child, he skipped a grade, and
everybody that he was with teased him, just because he was a year younger. But
my father didn't go home crying to my grandmother, he kept on going, and he
showed those bullies.
My father is a hero because he cares about me. This shows that he is a hero
because some fathers only care about their work, and they don't spend any time
with their children. But my father cares about me, my little brother, and his
work. And he finds time for all of us.
In conclusion, Robert McCrory, my father, is a great example for me, which is
why he is my hero.

A
True Hero: Rosa Parks
Rosa Parks got on a Montgomery
bus, tired after a day of work. She sat down in the black section with two
other people sitting next to her. "Give me the seats in the back of the
bus", the bus driver had pointed to were Rosa and the 2 other people were
sitting. The 2 others moved, but Rosa didn't budge. The bus driver called the
police, and Rosa asked quite a good question. "Why do you push us
around?" Rosa had asked the policemen. The reply had been, "The law
is the law and you are under arrest." Rosa didn't mind she was going to
jail, she knew she had done the right thing.
All of this commotion on the bus
started the Montgomery Buss Boycott. No black people used the buses since they
were the main riders. The Boycott was successful for the bus companies had
lost more than $750,000 dollars. Form then on, blacks were allowed to sit
anywhere on the bus, the front or back. Whites and blacks would sit together,
and if the seats were full, you'd just have to hold on to the railing!
Many others helped to end all segregation laws. Yet, the most known ones were
Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King. Now it doesn't matter if you're Chinese,
Japanese, and Spanish, whatever we're all together and nobody is treated
differently. Blacks and whites are equal and NO segregation laws are around.
Blacks and whites are friends, and nobody has special rules to follow. We all
go to school together, we ride on the bus together, and everything is fair!
Jocelynn is one of my friends, and she has black skin while I have white skin,
that doesn't stop us from being friends. One person that changed segregation
laws was Rosa Parks. She's the one who led everyone to the Boycott idea, and
she stood up for everyone's rights. We can all sit wherever we want on the
buss, and half the reason we can do that is because of Rosa Parks. Rosa Parks
stood up to end segregation laws and that's what makes her a hero.

MY HERO
It didn't take me a long time to think about who my hero was, but it did take
me a while to think of all the great things they did for us. My heroes are the
fire fighters. They either save a person's life, someone's property, or even
God's nature. For an example, on the World trade center they knew it was
dangerous. They didn't care if they lost their life, if they were badly
injured, or if the bright, flames of fire collapsed on them. But they did care
about someone else's life. The fire fighters that did die, are probably in
heaven, looking down at their families that they left behind. I love all the
fire fighters, even the ones I don't know. Because I know they all had the
same purpose, to be our heroes.

Hero
One day I was at this beach. It
was a rocky beach and the surf was very high. My sister and I were goofing off
in a shallow pool. The water would come slamming in on us and we would hold
onto rocks. One time I was playing around and I was floating face down. i
guess a huge wave came and I didn't know it. The next thing I knew I was half
way to the ocean. My sister ran out and dragged me back into the pool. I
wasn't scared until that very moment. I knew that if she hadn't saved me I'd
be half-way to England by now. I will never forget that awful, yet completely
fun filled day. I had a sunburn redder than a lobster to remember it by!!

This story is VERY true so here I
go:
His name was Wilbur my teddy guinea pig. me and mom went to the pet shop to
buy a pet.
I LOVED that little guy the
moment I saw him I knew instantly that he was the one I pointed him out Mom
approved him. We got everything he needed and brought him home.
After a few weeks he showed signs
of sickness that very same day he died. I loved the way he sat on his hind
legs as he ate. Or how he always slept in my lap. I miss him but I know he's
in a better place
I was
once an amazing hero
I was once an amazing
hero. My friend, Allie and I were in the woods at
camp. We were deep in
the woods with no one else there. We were both about
eight years old, but in
this case age doesn't matter. We were playing in the
creek which we weren't
supposed to do because it was full of broken glass and
thorns. We were just
swimming around when all of a sudden I heard a loud
scream. No one else was
around so the only one who could be screaming was
Allie. I wasn't quite
sure what to do. Then she started to cry. I asked her
what was wrong. All she
said was "I am bleeding, help me!" I wasn't exactly
sure what to do since I
was at such a young age. Over and over she told me to
help her. I finally took
charge. First I slowly took her out of the water
making sure that her
gushing blood foot didn't touch anything. I tried to
clean it of, but it just
kept bleeding. I truly thought she was going to
bleed to death. Though I
was only eight I think the decision I made was wise.
First I took my clean,
but old shirt and wrapped it around her foot to try to
stop some of the
bleeding. Then with all of my strength I lifted my friend up
and carried her about a
mile to the nurses office. When I got there I was
given the title of a
great hero. The nurse said that if she would have been
there by herself or she
had to walk she would have either bleed to death, had
a great loss of blood,
or possibly a horrible infection.
So I guess you can say I
am a true hero!

Me
and my friend
Me and my friend were in a parking lot, about to go into the car. It
was a windy day and her glasses flew off, she could not see anything. She was
looking around everywhere on her hands and her knees. When all of a sudden the
lights on a truck started to blink, the car was pulling out right on my
friend.
She was about to get
hit. I was so scared I did not know what to do.
The car was right about to hit my friend and she did not even see it. I tried
screaming for her to move but she did not hear me. I did not know whether to
get the truck to stop, or to get my best friend to move.
So all of a sudden I just jumped for my friend.
We both fell on to the ground but we did not get hit by the car.
We also got some scraps but I think it was worth it.
I would rather get a scrap or two then lose a best friend.

Is your four-legged pet
in tune with your feelings?
Do they try to comfort you when you’re feeling sad with a lick in the face?
Eight-year-old Teresa
Martinez’s dog, Lady, was a comfort to her, when Teresa wandered into a den
of rattlesnakes. The sound of a rattle froze her in place then she started
screaming for help. Lady raced to her rescue fighting off five snakes giving
Teresa a chance to run for safety. Lady was bit three times, but immediate
medical attention saved her. Teresa feels Lady is a real hero because Lady
protected her regardless of the danger.
People
all over the world honor brave animals in different ways.
In Canada the Purina
Hall of Fame has been acknowledging pets that have saved human lives since
1968. Purina Hall of Fame has honored 74 dogs, 16 cats, and one horse. The
animals have been recognized for bringing help to their sick and injured
owners, fending off armed intruders, protecting against wild animals, and
alerting owners to fires.
Household
pets aren’t the only animals that help humans
Binti Jua (pronounced:
Bin-tee Joo-ah), an eight-year-old lowland gorilla is the hero at Brookfield
Zoo in Chicago.
Binti Jua rescued a
three-year-old child who climbed over a railing and fell eighteen feet into
the zoo’s exhibit. The gorilla carried the unconscious boy to an area where
the people could give the boy medical care. Binti Jua’s own 17 month-old
baby, Koola, clutched onto her back throughout the little boy’s rescue.
Because of so many
reports of animal heroism scientists no longer believe animals are only
creatures of instinct and training. Some scientists think animals have
human-like emotions, such as love and compassion.
Whatever emotion animals
actually feel; there are animal heroes among us.
