Kapili Akana

Six year old Kapili Akana has been training for two and a half years with Sensei Kenn Firestone of Universal Karate of Kauai, Hawaii. 

Presently a blue belt, she has entered many tournaments on the island of Kauai, Maui, Oahu, and will be competing on the mainland in 2003. While training three to four days a week, she has made a lot of good friends, and is treated like family by instructors, and fellow students. 

These are her Kumite and Kata tournament results :

4 third place

Kapili is in the first grade at Kahili Adventist School, and also loves to surf, swim, ride her bike, and hunt. Her goal is to become a black belt, and one day be a Sensei.
