Kenisha Wish And The Flowers

Kenisha loved flowers, especially red, blue, pink and purple ones. Kenisha always wanted a flowerbed of her own. Her mother always said "When you are older," but it never seemed to happen.

Poor, poor Kenisha, she lived in the city with no room to grow a garden. She lived in an apartment--301 Sunset View, but the funny thing is she couldn't see the sunset because of all the buildings.

Kenisha was seven and in the first grade. Her teacher was Mr. Russell, one of the nicest teachers in the whole school. Kenisha told him how much she wanted a flowerbed. This gave her teacher a great idea. Mr. Russell told Kenisha, "If the school will let you, you could plant a flowerbed in the school courtyard." Kenisha decided this was just what she should do, so she asked.

A few weeks later, Kenisha got her wish! Everyone in the school planted one flower, and the flowerbed had 562 flowers after all the planting. In the garden was a big sign, hung for all to see, and painted in red, blue, pink and purple was, "Kenisha's Wish".
