Kirsten Desorda

TRIPLE CROWN WINNER

Kirsten Desorda is a force to be dealt with in Weapons, Forms & Fighting. She primarily uses a Bo but is learning to use the Kamas. Kirsten  is a Blue Belt (Intermediate Level) in Tang Soo Do and trains under her father Master Peter J. Desorda.

Kirsten is more than worthy of being a Hall of Fame Member and has many awards to back up this nomination. Kirsten turned 8 this past November, 2002 and since she started competing around age 6 has been dominating the competition ring ever since.

This past year she competed in the IPPONE circuit in New England and just this month was awarded IPPONES highest award, the TRIPLE CROWN for placing 1st for the 2002 year in Weapons, Forms & Fighting for the 9 & Under division. Kirsten is one of the youngest members ever to do this!

Kirsten also won grand championships at many of the tournaments she competed in and even was runner up in a weapons grands that was mixed with colored and black belts, placing 2nd.

Kirsten competed at the Tang Soo Do Nationals two years and won gold both years. She was nominated by her team mates on Desorda's Team TANG as an Outstanding Competitor of the Year

She received honorable mentions at their awards banquet for showing good sportsmanship on and off the mat and for her unbreakable spirit and positive attitude.

Kirsten plans to continue to compete regionally on the National tournament circuit in the years to come. To learn more about Kirsten Desorda you can visit her website.
