Meagan Forsythe recently took home a number of titles
at the prestigious
U.S. Open International Martial Arts Championships that was held at Walt
Disney's World Resort.
She placed 1st in open forms,
2nd in open musical forms,
and 5th in traditional forms.

Meagan Forsythe is 12 years old and from
Fairfield Maine.
She has been
training in the martial arts for just over 6 years. She is a very
dedicated
student here at Huard's Ju-jitsu Karate School. Meagan is a member of
the
HSK (Huard's Sport Karate Team)
She has competed at many local, regional and national martial arts
competitions throughout the six years that she has been training.
She has
well over a hundred trophies and continues to compete all over the
country.
Meagan just recently traveled to one of the largest and most prestigious
martial arts competitions in the world. It was the U.S. Open
International
Martial Arts Championships in Orlando, Florida. The U.S. Open we
held in
Disney World and had over 2,900 competitors from all over the world in
attendance.
At the U.S. Open Meagan competed against some of the best sport karate
players in the world.
Meagan competed in Musical Forms on Friday Night, July 5 and took 2nd
place
in her age division. On Saturday she competed in the girls/boys
Traditional
and Open Forms Divisions and took a 5th place win in traditional.
Her biggest accomplishment at the U.S. Open this year was taking home a
prestigious First Place Championship Title in the Open Forms Division.

accomplishments in the martial arts.
