Story
My
Brother Adam
I know somebody special, somebody who deserves an
Oscar award for their acting ability when the pots need
to be washed. Somebody who needs a Brit singing award
for worst British Male, somebody who would win in a
competition for most annoying individual. This is my
brother Adam! Adam is only 12 which I class as a baby
even though as I stand I am only 2 years older. At 12 years
old you seem oblivious to it all, all the poverty and
crime in the world, and all the evil events which grasp
the attention of the public eye then upturn the world and leave
everyone over 12 years old in a state of shock! Adam is just
one of those 12 year old kids in a crowd of many to
everyone else, but to me he's my Brother with qualities
no other 12 year olds have. Adam is a budding inventor, he
is set to be the next in a long line of his idols, each
commonly known as James Bond. His room is fitted with a
burglar alarm on the door as you enter with a doorbell for
if he is present. His room houses a safe and everything
which can be padlocked is.
Adam isn't particularly academic, but I admire him for
qualities which cannot
be taught in a classroom. School isn't a major part of
Adam's life, oh no Adam
is never still from the moment he throws the huge school bag
which all 12 year olds feel obliged to carry to the
floor. He is then shooting out to a football training
session, or a cricket practice or dance lesson, or a
lifesaving
meeting or Cub Scout gathering where he leads a small group
of other kids. Adam loves to be on the go and rarely
when he gets the chance arranges to go down to the
cricket field with his Dad for some extra practice if this
is not possible he just have make do with watching a
game or playing virtual cricket on his Play station.
Adam is one of those in your face non fashion conscious
freaks which you either love of hate. One of those kids
you would never tire of whacking, a typical 12 year old
in many ways with his stupid noises which resemble many
different guns or knives being thrown. But you could
never call Adam typical, not after an hour of his
company anyway!
Adam hasn’t had the most normal life of all, he was born
with one kidney, and was whisked away for scans after
birth to the dismay of my mother who was not told of
the condition. I then knocked my brother unconscious when he
was only 3 years old after he walked in front of the
swing whilst I was playing in the garden. Adam since
then developed asthma an allergy to blackcurrant flavoring, a
liking to sherry, and an attitude problem much to the regret
of our parents.
Adam is an upfront kind of lad, he loves all things
inventive, and hated all
things female up until the last few months when he
discovered their uses. I
couldn’t think of anyone more inspiring than Adam to write
about, he is more than just a Brother to me, he is also
a hindrance to my life I just can’t
believe my parents have aloud him to live this long!
