Preston with his 2 first place wins from Battle off Atlanta this month!

 Hi, I came across your web site and was thrilled to find your kids Hall of Fame. I definitely want to nominate my son- Preston Barden. He is 5 years old and has been in karate for just one year. He is a green belt in Goju Ryu style karate. He is senior student in his class. His love and desire for karate has gotten him real recognition this year at the young age of 5, he has won 3 world championship titles. One at Bluegrass and 2 at Battle of Atlanta, 1 international title at Tornado and 1 national title.

He also recently won the Grand Championship in the intermediate division against 17 year old competitors. I believe he deserves to be in The Kids Hall of Fame for these reasons and more.

If you could see him at tournament- you'd see the pure joy he was having, but you'd also see a switch go on- He enters the ring with great intensity! At such a young age- he sometimes gets very nervous and not knowing how to control his feelings- he begins to cry before his turn.

Through the tears he fights and enters the ring with all attitude. I am so proud of him for continuing and over coming his fears! he has competed in 15 tournaments this years and won 1st place in all but 2.

He will always be my Karate Angel® !!!
