Ricky Morris

Ricky Morris is definitely a name that's been hitting the NASKA circuit with extreme
force! This boy is a 7 year old under belt and has already won 1st and 2nd place in numerous national and international tournaments in weapons, forms, and point sparring. In 2003 he took home over 14 trophies total with 3 first place trophies and the grand championship trophy from the Florida State Tae Kwon Do Championship in Tampa. His most recent accomplishment was at this year's 2004 U.S.

Open World Championships in Orlando. Ricky placed 2nd in Open Weapons and 3rd in Traditional Weapons. He also took 2nd place in Sparring.
Prior to the U.S. Open, he was busy winning 1st and 2nd place trophies at The Golden Sidekicks Open and the Gold Coast Classics...Oh, did we forget to mention that at the GSO he placed 4th in Breaking in a division that was 13 and under. Wow!!
So, how does a 7 year old become a champion? Well, for starters having 2 really great instructors helps.
Ricky studies forms and sparring under the tutelage of Master Gina Anacleto at WKC Tae Kwon Do Center in Lake Worth, Florida and studies weapons under the guidance of World Champion Lauren Kearney from Team Paul Mitchell.
"We are very lucky to have such excellent instructors that are able to take Ricky to the next level," Mom says. "Ricky is determined to be the best. He trains constantly and when he's not in the do jang he's having fun doing gymnastics.
I think when your heart is 101% dedicated to what you are doing, you will always rise to the top and be number one."

Ricky's ultimate goal is to be on Team Paul Mitchell someday. Someone once said that a piece of steel must be hammered a thousand times before it becomes a sword. Well, this boy is truly on his way to becoming a sword.
