"With these halos in your possession," Angelina continues, "You will be given great Angel Powers, to help you to fight against crime and evil. The girls just stand there not moving a muscle.

The halos slowly begin to vibrate. Each girl stands in a ring of light, emulating from the beautiful halo that slowly surrounds them. It begins to engulf them, as it slowly lowers over them.

All the colors in the universe glow from their bodies out into the crisp night air. As the light fades, the little girls stand dressed in brightly colored Karate Angels attire.

The girls are shocked and amazed at the same time. Looking at their beautifully colored uniforms and their new powerful bodies.

"Sarah, when you become the Blue Angel," says Angelina gently. "Your styles of martial arts are Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido. You will have the courage and heart of a lion."

"Tiffany," Angelina continues. "When you become the Red Angel." Your style of martial arts is American Kenpo Karate. You will also be blessed with the power of speed."

"Maria, when you become the Yellow Angel, your styles of martial arts are Judo and Aikido. Plus you'll have the strength of ten Angels."

"And little Kim, when you become the Green Angel. Your styles of martial arts are Wing Chun Kung-Fu and Tai Chi. You will also have the ancient self healing powers of Qigong."

"From this day forward for the new millennium, you can power up as Karate Angels, to help you fight against crime and evil wherever you find it. The new generation of Angels. But I must warn you; always protect the halos," Angelina explains.

"The halos are coveted by your arch enemy Lord Kanos. " He will send Tera and her Dark Knights on a mission to get the halos from you. They will stop at nothing. " Angelina tells them, with beautiful colors glowing from all around her.

"When you want to call on your Angel powers. Just say the words, 'Angel Power', and your martial arts abilities will now propel you to new heights." says Angelina.

The Karate Angels Creed
"Now I will tell you the Angels Creed." "What's the Angels Creed?" Kim asks, nearly bursting with questions. "Will you tell us what it means?" Angelina turns towards the four girls. " A creed expresses a way of looking at life. This creed has been handed down to all the Angels by a great martial arts Master. Now it will become yours, we are handing it down to you." Angelina begins to tell them the creed. The girls are focused are every word. "The Karate Angels Creed goes like this."

A bright light begins to emulate from all around Angelina. It also engulfs the four girls. As Angelina begins to disappear into the mist.

"Don't be afraid. Your instincts will guide you down the right path. It's the new millennium and you are now the Karate Angels." Then, as suddenly as she arrived, the beautiful Angel disappears.

"What's happened? I feel light on my feet," says Tiffany, dancing around getting her balance. " I feel so strong, and this uniform is beautiful.

Look at me!" Maria shouts into the night air, spinning and jumping around and around, enjoying the moment.

"My heart is pounding so fast." Sarah says breathlessly. "I'm ready for anything." She leaps in the air, flips over backwards and lands on her feet.

"Everything is happening so fast," says Kim in amazement. "I feel so powerful inside."

Standing in a circle, the four girls hold hands. As they each feel their new found powers rush through their bodies. The halos encircling their wrists are glowing, showering the sky with their fantastic colors. Their beautiful uniforms and headbands are alive with color.

The Karate Angels raise their right hand into the air and shout out, "Angel Power."

Suddenly… their smiles quickly fade to concern, as a dozen dark shadows emerge from out of nowhere…

Karate Angels meet the Dark Knights

Blue Angel, spins around as she hears the sound of a motorcycle coming behind her. She turns to see a sinister figure sitting on the seat. Strapped to her back is two black samurai swords.

Blue Angel looks into the eyes of the dark figure sitting upon the motorcycle, she instantly recognizes who the figure is. It's Tera! The leader of a powerful army of masked Dark Knights, that are under her evil spell.

"It's Tera," whispers Blue Angel, she gets a lump in her throat. That's just how Angelina had described her, she thinks to herself.

Tera gets off her motorcycle and motions the Dark Knights forward. 

Dressed in black Ninja type uniforms and masks that cover much of their faces. The Dark Knights follow Tera's orders. They approach the four girls standing in a circle in their new colorful uniforms. Poised and ready for action. The situation seems hopeless.

With the courage of a lion, Blue Angel says "Hey, who are you guys? What do you want here? Why don't you find some other place to play?" Almost joking and a bit nervous she asks the advancing dark figures.

"Girls, this doesn't look good." murmurs Red Angel nervously.

The darkened figures continue to form a semicircle and proceeded to try to surround the Karate Angels. The Dark Knights are everywhere.

"I guess we'll get to test our powers a lot sooner than we thought," says Yellow Angel. Preparing for battle, she steps out front. She stands ready to strike like a cat, in a perfect powerful back stance. Her bright yellow outfit shimmering from the light of her glowing halo. Three Dark Knights encircle the Yellow Angel. "Oh, three on one? No problem." Yellow Angel comes around behind the motorcycle that Tera was riding.

She lifts the motorcycle high above her head and whirls it around in circles. The motorcycle tires, smashes into the Dark Knights and knocks them to the ground.

"Let's rumble," shouts Green Angel. She now emerges, her black samurai sword spinning in her hand, cuts through the air. Her head lowers as she skillfully watches the Dark Knights slowly jockey for position around her.

She carefully places each foot on the ground, ready for action. Her three-pronged pitchfork-type weapon called a Sai tucked in her waistband.

"Now, which one of you clowns wants a free education?" she asks slyly, her knees bent, her sword raised high above her head, her eyes targeted on the Dark Knights.

"Your first lesson is free!" Slicing and spinning her sword into the air, Green Angel attacks an advancing Dark Knight. He quickly removes a Sai from his waistband and catches her sword in the pitchfork, between the long center shaft and the curved edge of the weapon. The Dark Knight manages to snap the sword, out of her hands.

"Not bad," she smirks. "Okay, fat boy, now's your chance. Take your best shot, let's see what you've got," egging the Dark Knight on, he attacks her wildly with his sword. She catches the blade of his sword between the palms of her hands. Using an ancient samurai sword disarming technique, she snaps the sword right out of his hand.

Green Angel immediately delivers a series of Wing Chun Kung-Fu moves to the body, smiling she says, "You can do better then that. I heard you guys were supposed to be good. Pick up your sword and fight a women like a man." She is confident with her new powers, almost enjoying the moment.

"You're just a girl. You can't beat me. You're about to get hurt real bad." growls the Dark Knight. Lifting his sword high up over his head, he lets out a yell and begins to attack, his sword slicing through the air. She sidesteps the approaching blade and delivers a series of blows to the body of the Dark Knight, knocking him backward and out.

Fast as lightning, Red Angel moves up front. She is impulsive, powerful, beautiful, ready for action and has the speed of the tiger. "You want some of this? Come and get some." She invites the Dark Knights into the small circle. In her hands is a three-sided weapon known as Tri-Chucks. With lightning speed, the Tri-chucks spin in her little hands, she knocks one boy silly. The next Dark Knight skillfully deflects her Tri-chucks and counters with his sword, a diagonal downward slice to the neck of Red Angel.

Red Angel maneuvers to the side, to block the deadly strike. She skillfully delivers a series of Judo moves flipping the attacking Dark Knight. He falls to the ground stunned barely able to move.

With the precision of a surgeon, Red Angel whirls the Tri-Chucks about her body. Spinning and turning, she gets the Dark Knights to scatter in all directions.

The ends of the Tri-Chucks striking eight of the Dark Knights about their head and legs as they run off. "Come back here, where are you guys going?" she yells. "I'm just getting warmed up."

Blue Angel steps forward, in her right hand she holds two Kama's. She moves about with perfect form, the blades of the Kama's slice through the air in geometric patterns , perfectly synchronized as she moves.

With sure footed confidence, she begins throwing Tae Kwon Do kicks with powerful force and speed at the various Dark Knights.

She knocks a few of them down, but they get back up quickly, throwing counter kicks of their own. Using her Hapkido moves she flips and knocks them around, forcing them to regroup and change positions.

The Awakening

One-by-one the Dark Knights drop to the ground. The Karate Angels stand over the group of dazed evil Knights. Yellow Angel grabs the face of a Dark Knight, ripping off his black facial mask with a snap. Instantly the Dark Knight's appearance begins to change… to soften… to shrink.

He is transformed into a chubby young boy with an innocent expression. All around him, the Karate Angels pull off the masks of the other defeated Dark Knights. The spell is finally broken, the evil warriors melt into dazed but happy boys.

Suddenly, a chilling wind blows a black mist through the air. From out of the darkness steps Tera, with a powerful red panther. The panther growls and flashes his teeth. "Retreat." Tera commands the remaining Dark Knights. In the flash of a moment, the Dark Knights are gone, along with Tera and her panther.

All that is left is the wind blowing papers down the street, and the sight of the young boys getting up from the ground, dazed, confused, but finally rescued by the Karate Angels.

"What's happened? Where am I? You broke Tera's evil spell. Who are you? " the boys cry. "You mean you don't remember all the trouble you just put us through?" asks Blue Angel.

"I'm afraid he doesn't realize what's happened," Green Angel explains.

"He was under Tera's evil spell." All the young kids now surround the Karate Angels, happy to be saved.

"We are the Karate Angels," Yellow Angel explains.

"The Karate Angels ? You saved us from Tera's evil spell." the boys shout with glee.

"The Karate Angels saved us! We love you Karate Angels, we love you." "We're saved, yeah," yell the boys jumping up and down, in a circle around the four young crime fighters. "The Karate Angels saved us ! Hurrah ! You're our heroes." The young boys all dance around the four girls with glee.

Interior Lair of Lord Kanos

"What's happened?" Kanos bellows. " Did you bring me the halos? Where are the halos?" His eyes red with rage. Tera kneels at his feet, trembling.

"Forgive me master, I didn't get the halos for you, my Lord. The Karate Angels over powered us this time. My foot soldiers failed to defeat them. Some of my best students have gone over to their side!" Tera shakes in fear.

"What did you say? How dare you come back here without the halos. he shouts." "We will never have such an opportunity again." Lord Kanos shrieks in rage, startling his massive jackals. He is furious. "You must find those Angels. Do you hear me? Bring me the halos. Now!"

"Yes, master. I have a new plan to trap the Karate Angels. I will remove their halos and bring them to you." promises Tera.

"You better not fail this time, or you will be punished like never before." yells Lord Kanos.

"This time I know we will destroy them master." says Tera. "Go now! I don't want to look at you anymore. Get out of my sight." screams Lord Kanos. He points his finger, and a ball of fire surrounds Tera. She shoots upward to the earth's surface.

Back At the Bluff

our secret… "This crime fighting stuff is so very cool." gushes Kim. "Yeah that was exciting. Should we tell anyone?" asks Tiffany.

"Let's not tell a soul?" asks Sarah. "Not yet. Only when the time is right. This is our secret. What do you think girls?"

The other girls brush themselves off. "Let's will use our regular names when we are just regular kids going to school. So no one will know who we really are, okay?" Maria says.

"Let's stick together. It's our secret-come on Pinkie swear." The four girls standing in a circle, all extend their pinkies and share in a four-way pinkie handshake.

"Angel Power" they shout together. "Help is on the way."
