Feature Story
The Elf with
no Hands Once upon a time, Santa’s Elves had no ideas for toys and they only had ten elves. Actually they had one more but he didn’t have hands. How could he help Santa? The elves names were Kurt, Kelly, Katie, Kandy, Kirby, Klubber, Korea, Karleen, Kailua, Klemsly and the one with no hands was Kurmet. I can’t make toys or anything thought Kurmet as he cried. So Kurmet ran away and met a boy and girl named Adam and Wendy. They were lost and they were 4 years old. We always get lost and we can’t do anything right they cried. There’s an elf, yea we are lucky! They shouted. I can’t do anything because I have no hands, can I? I can’t make toys, he groaned. Maybe we could help you if you help us, they said. OK, the way to your house is down Main Street and cross Garfield road and make a right when you cross that road and your house is on the other side. OK, he said. They said yup. I know a way you could help Adam and Wendy said, you could tell them what to make and they will make it, OK, they said, OK Thank you guys so, so, so much! He said I need to take you to my house which really Santa’s OK, he said. Wow!!! I cannot believe that you (Elf) will take us there! That’s probably A YES! He said. Anyway what is your name, is it just ELF? No, it’s Kermet. Oh, they said. When they got to Santa’s place all of the elves looked at the children. Why did you bring children here the elves said? They found out how I could help. They said how could you help us. I could tell you what to make, OK. What do you guys want for Christmas and they told Santa and got 4 presents on their list. Then Santa picked Kurmet to go on his sleigh with him and he did. They lived happily ever after.
