Cliff 'Magic" Thomas, Kickboxing's
Seven-Time World Champion, Has Finally Retired His Last
Belt At Age 48. However, a book about this ICON of the
sport who won his first PKA title with a 3rd round
knockout over undefeated Gordon Franks as a 20-1 underdog

The book covers some 45 of Cliff's 80 bouts and
demonstrates the courage and will of a lad born with a
hole in his heart the size of a silver dollar and expected
to die before age 14 to go on and become a world champion
multiple times. As a matter of fact, seven times in five
weight divisions. His career spanned over two decades and
he was officially never knocked down although Thomas
Chesterfield did manage to left hook him to one knee but
the referee missed the touch. Cliff went on to knock
Chesterfield out twice.

Just for your info, Randall 'Tex' Cobb, a real bad boy started off with me. He later fought Larry Holmes for the world title. But, he is more famous or infamous, as the case may be, for his movie roles. Amazing, Randy, with all kinds of problems and mostly broke regardless of the millions he made, gets all those roles. Of course, he was a natural. I would just like to see Jimmy Foxx take a look at the marvelosu and stunning career of Cliff Thomas, contact the champion and see what might be a welcome surprise to the martial arts world of movies.
Cobb was in "The Champ'" 'Raising Arizona," "Naked gun," Uncommon Valor,"Collision Course," "Liar, Liar," "Police Academy 4," "Blind fury," "The Dirty Dozen," "Fletch Lives," "Ace Ventura Pet Detective," "Diggstown," and many more movies. He has been on some 2o television shows , including the late talk shows. However, he didn't even come to El Paso when his son was killed in a vehicle accident because I believe he owes over 3000 grand in back child support. How about that? and then there is the gracious world champion, Cliff 'Magic' thomas.
Sometimes facts are stranger than fiction. Just as the cosmos is much more exciting than the fictitious alien shows we see so much, so is Cliff's story over most of the great athletes I've ever run across or heard of for that matter.

The 9th Annual Friendship Tournament was held on Saturday, June 18th. It was at the spacious USM Costello Sports Complex. The day started with the singing of the National Anthem by Sempai Lisa Mello of Team Aika. A Hula rendition by Lecia Simer ( Grandmaster Allan Viernes younger Sister) followed. The Best Supporting School Award went to Team Aika, just edging out last year winner's Huard's Sport Karate Team.

My most embarrassing
moment!
Sooo embarrassing!!
A whole CHAIN of embarrassing moments!! I was hanging out with
my best friend, Angie*, at the mall. We were shopping but
decided to stop to get some lunch. We saw some guy looking
towards us. He waved so, being nice even though we didn't
know the guy, we waved back. Turned out he was waving to his
girlfriend, behind us. I just blushed as the two of us
scurried to the escalators. I started to walk down, but I
couldn't. Something was messed up. My friend pulled me
backwards, I was trying to go down the UP escalator!! As if
that wasn't bad enough, it gets worse....
