I am for the first time posting the third
and fourth pages of the Karate Angels comic book. It was originally published
in The Martial Arts Insider Magazine a while back. Unfortunately I wasn't
able to afford the original artists and so the art work got really bad in
part three and four. That's why I have never posted it before. But here it
is, for your enjoyment. I hope you can read the text. I will post the
dialog in a couple of days just in case it's hard for you to
read.

from our martial arts community....
The Carlie Brucia case in Florida having just been decided by a jury, 21
months after her murder, and the other crimes against kids we hear so much
about, permeating the airwaves, leads me to seek your assistance in
writing your Senators, as follows:

Dear Senator:
I am a constituent who is very concerned about the sex offenders who live
in my community. Recently, there have been many stories in the news about
how the current sex offender registration and notification laws don't
work, and need to be changed. I think it's a matter of life and death that
you help your fellow lawmakers make this change to protect our children. I
urge you to support the provisions of S1086 that would create a more
comprehensive system for tracking these offenders, and improve the way
information is released about these predators to our communities.
Today, there are more than 500,000 sex offenders who are supposed to be
registered in the U.S.; however, it's believed that 100,000 of these
offenders are 'lost' in the system. We must:
Close the loopholes between state programs, so sex offenders can't move
from state to state and elude authorities.
Provide federal and state funding so law enforcement agencies have the
resources to track these predators.
Make sure that information about sex offenders is released to all of our
communities.
The time is now to tighten the tracking of sex offenders, and provide
higher standards for notifying people like myself and my neighbors. I
don't want one more person who's been convicted of sex crimes to be able
to hide from our community and law enforcement, and prey upon our
children.

Hi there,
I hope all is well with you and
I apologize for writing to you direct but I am trying to contact as many
people about this exciting new show we’re currently producing for TLC.
We’ve been commissioned to produce a brand new series
for the network that taps into the real-life experiences of Americans
– the funny and the embarrassing moments that we all have been through
at some point in our lives!!! This is a massive series and the channel
is extremely keen to launch it with a bang – it’s their new baby!!!
It really is a fantastic opportunity for all viewers and contributors
across America and across all ages to share a common sense of human
frailty and comedy all in one go!
We would love to hear from everyone who has had a ‘Bridget
Jones’ moment or been in an excruciating situation like in ‘Meet
the Parents’ or the ‘Fockers’ and wondering
if we could, in any way, contact/spread the word to any of the
young people that have written in to your amazing site. Any point of
contact with people whose experiences have encapsulated the embarrassing
moment we all think about and just go ‘oh my god’ would be great.
We do have a very small budget but are hoping to be able
to offer something for the best stories that come through that might
then hopefully be used.
If you can help us in any way, I’m sure it will be a
great programme and a link to and from TLC might be a good
thing for you?? let us know as soon as possible if you have any ideas!!!
