I hope all is well with you and
I apologize for writing to you direct but I am trying to contact as many
people about this exciting new show we’re currently producing for TLC.
We’ve been commissioned to produce a brand new series
for the network that taps into the real-life experiences of Americans
– the funny and the embarrassing moments that we all have been through
at some point in our lives!!! This is a massive series and the channel
is extremely keen to launch it with a bang – it’s their new baby!!!
It really is a fantastic opportunity for all viewers and contributors
across America and across all ages to share a common sense of human
frailty and comedy all in one go!
We would love to hear from everyone who has had a ‘Bridget
Jones’ moment or been in an excruciating situation like in ‘Meet
the Parents’ or the ‘Fockers’ and wondering
if we could, in any way, contact/spread the word to any of the
young people that have written in to your amazing site. Any point of
contact with people whose experiences have encapsulated the embarrassing
moment we all think about and just go ‘oh my god’ would be great.
We do have a very small budget but are hoping to be able
to offer something for the best stories that come through that might
then hopefully be used.
If you can help us in any way, I’m sure it will be a
great programme and a link to and from TLC might be a good
thing for you?? let us know as soon as possible if you have any ideas!!!

Shihan Mohamad Jahan-Vash
Shihan Mohamad
Jahan-Vash is a Seventh Degree Black Belt in Red Dragon American
Karate.
He started his martial arts training in his native country of Iran at the
age of 9. His real training didn’t start until he came to the United
States, at the age of 16, and began training in Red Dragon Karate under
Shihan Louis D. Casamassa and he was promoted to first degree in 1980. He
owns the Red Dragon Karate Studio in Diamond Bar, California where he will
celebrate the studio’s 19th anniversary this year. He is the promoter of
COMPETE International Martial Arts Championship, a NASKA (North American
Sport Karate Association) 5 “A” Rated tournament, the highest rating
in that organization. It is one of the largest martial arts tournaments in
the United States.
Over 70 of his students in the past 18 years have become regional &
national ranked competitors. Shihan Jahan-Vash and his students travel all
over the country to compete and in the past 17 years have participated in
35 to 46 competitions each year. His participation in martial arts
competitions has earned him the positions as Board of Director of NASKA,
US Regional Director of AKKF, the second highest position, President of
TPA (Tournament Promoters Assoc.). He directs and coordinates over 75% of
the major martial arts events in the US. He is responsible for many
additional categories that are offered in tournaments today and he is
responsible for unifying sport karate rules between the major
organizations. In 1994 and 2002 he was the director of the California
Police Olympics for martial arts. This competition is for all law
enforcement and fire department personnel...

Jacob Kabel
Jacob had never competed on the WSKF circuit before but he
gave it a shot at the Slugfest Nationals and WSKF Finals the weekend of
July 15-16, 2005. His gambi was successful as Jacob enter all his
divisions as a wild card and managed to win 4 WSKF world titles and had to
perform up to three times in some of his divisions. Jacob also taught a
sword seminar at the tournament and got a great response from his seminar
participants.

Ratings Held a Night of Champions at the Warwick Vets High
School in Warwick R.I. The main event was a U.S. Team Title. The two were Team
Arango National Karate Team from NY VS Mohegan Sun
National Karate Team from CT. The teams consisted of three men on
a team .I am happy to say the the Mohegan Sun National Karate Team
won with a score of 29-9. We would like to congratulate Bryan Louis, Jim
Bonner and Henry Robinson.
