I am in Eau Claire, Wisconsin at the Karate Fest
tournament, talking with Michael Welch, grand champion in the
men’s forms and weapons division.
So, tell me Mike...
Mr. Bud Saggal is the proud father of two top Junior athletes
from Team Straight Up, have made it into the 2004 Kids
Hall of Fame. Team
Straight Up is a nonprofit national karate team based in
Pawtucket Rhode Island. Their coach, Joe Greenhalgh has been
associated with Martial arts for many years and is regarded as
one of the top coaches in the country. His team also holds the
same distinction!

...my knee is getting better. However the right leg must be
cursed because after I hurt the knee...I busted the
ankle...then a person opened a door on my toe taking off half
the toe nail...then a tore the calf muscle just walking...then
a wasp stung that foot...and last but not least I stubbed the
big toe two days ago and have the biggest blood blister. So
while my knee gets better the rest of my leg...not so good.

Bluegrass Nationals
We're all excited about finally getting the
Bluegrass Nationals show online. Regrettably finishing the
editing has been delayed longer than I planned. So much for
the plan! But alas, you won't be disappointed, it's stunning!
This is a very very cool show. World Champion Johnathan Boyd gave a fantastic
interview, Matt Emig made a special appearance along with Nick
Schilling, Bill 'Superfoot' Wallace and many others. Check it out...it's even better
than Compete...which was really hot too.
There were so many exciting performances it's
been very difficult to edit anyone out of the show. But we
have to keep the show within certain time lines, if we want to
get broadcast on cable networks too. I was going to edit a
bunch of extra action footage and post it separately.
