  Zoey Mykala Gleason

ZOEY MYKALA GLEASON. She is 9 years old. A student of Sensei Jonathan Alexis from Alexis Karate & Jujitsu in Oakland, Maine. Zoey is ranked #1 by S.M.A.R.T. ranting system and is rated 4th in I.P.P.O.N.E. kumite. This Blond hair, green eyed 60 pound girl is one to keep your eyes on as she journeys down the martial arts road. Zoey has over 30 trophies and awards. She has met renowned martial artist Chuck Norris. Sensei Jayme Dennis-Ladd is Zoeys martial artist hero. Zoey aspires to some day own and operate an all girls dojo. Zoey is an only child and has never known her biological dad. Through determination and perseverance this little girl holds her head high and doesn't let anything get in her way. Zoey began her journey 2 years ago with Huards Karate out of Oakland with Sensei Mark Huard. In 2005 Zoey raised over $850.00 for the Children's Miracle Network. 

Looking to change styles Zoey ventured to Club Naha with Javier Diaz for 3 months. Zoeys mom took her from this Dojo after a classes of bloody knuckles from punching the hardwood floors and knuckle pushups. Deciding her love was with Shotokan karate Zoey picked the form up again with Sensei Alexis at Alexis Karate and Jujitsu. Zoey has held on to her 1st place status in the State of Maine throughout this journey and has maintained many friendships and life long bonds.
